PPA Specialized Services Expands Through New CEPP Partnership
The American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) and the Center for Effective Public Policy (CEPP) are excited to announce a new partnership to offer customized training and technical assistance (TTA) via APPA’s Specialized Services Program to the community supervision field.
Through this collaboration, APPA and CEPP are combining national reach with deep practitioner expertise to support community supervision agencies seeking to strengthen practices and improve outcomes. Agencies may request assistance on smaller, targeted topics or engage in broader, large-scale efforts at the local, regional, or statewide level.
Training and technical assistance can take many forms, including:
- Targeted training (in-person or virtual)
- Policy and practice assessments
- Implementation support
- Expert consultation
- Coaching and facilitation
Our Specialized Services Program can address a wide range of organizational topics, including strategic planning, recruiting and retention, onboarding, workload management, gender equity, leadership development, data and performance measurement, and APPA’s National Standards for Community Supervision.
It can also address specific supervision topics, such as case planning, skill-based interventions, maximizing client engagement, condition setting, and effective responses to behavior, as well as specialized topics such as tribal supervision and intimate partner violence. All support is tailored to each agency’s goals and delivered on-site, locally or regionally, or through virtual platforms at a reasonable cost.
Interested jurisdictions should complete a brief request form to explore scope, timelines, and cost. A team member will follow up directly.
We look forward to supporting your work!
