Marilyn Van Dieten
Senior Advisor
Dr. Van Dieten recently joined CEPP as the Director of the National Resource Center on Justice Involved Women. She previously cofounded Orbis Partners, where she served as the Director of Training and Program Development. Throughout her career, Dr. Van Dieten has worked to design and help agencies implement evidence-based interventions and has served as an advocate for justice involved women and their families. She is the author of Moving On, a group intervention for justice involved women; Girls…Moving On, which addresses the needs of young women; and Living Safely and Without Violence, an intensive program for women with a history of violent behavior. She created the Collaborative Case Work for Women model, an intensive wraparound model for justice involved women; and Creating Calm: A Workbook for Women, part of the Resiliency Builder Series. Dr. Van Dieten has served as an expert for the National Institute of Corrections, Correctional Service of Canada, and her Majesty’s Prison Service in the UK. She received her PhD in 1990 from the University of Ottawa, Canada.
